·         Pengurutan Start Menu Menurut Abjad

Hapus Value Name ‘Order’, supaya Windows membuat Value Name ‘Order’ yang baru, yang mengurutkan isi Start Menu menurut abjad. Cara ini dapat dilakukan pada semua sub-folder Start Menu.

·         Menghapus/Menambah Item Type dari New Menu pada Menu Konteks (Menu Klik Kanan)

Key            :  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.ext\ShellNew (diganti atau dihapus)

Contoh  :

Untuk menghapus pilihan ‘Text Document’ dari Menu New, hapus  Key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.txt\ShellNew.

Untuk menambah pilihan ‘Text Document’ pada Menu New, buat:

Key            :  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.txt\ShellNew

Value Name   :  NullFile

Data type    :  String

Value Data  :  -

Untuk mengganti tulisan ‘Text Document’, masuklah ke Windows Explorer, kemudian pilih menu View-Folder Options. Pilih tab File Types dan cari ‘Text Document’ di sana dan ganti namanya.

·         Menghapus/Menambah Menu Konteks (Menu Klik Kanan) pada Start Menu

Key            :  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shell

Contoh  :

Untuk membuat menu Notepad, buatlah Key ‘Notepad’. Kemudian, dari Value Name ‘Default’, masukkan Value Data ‘Open with &Notepad’. Buatlah Key baru di bawah Key Notepad dengan nama ‘command’. Pada Value Name ‘ Default’ di Key ‘command’, isikan dengan path dan file program yang akan dijalankan (C:\WINDOWS\NOEPAD.EXE).

·         Mematikan DOS Prompt
